Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002
You may cancel this agreement at any time during the period that ends ten (10) days after the later of the day you receive a written copy of the agreement and the day all the services are available. You do not need to give the supplier a reason for cancelling during this 10-day period.
In addition, there are grounds that allow you to cancel this agreement. You may also have other rights, duties and remedies at law. For more information, you may contact the Ministry of Consumer and Business Services.
To cancel this agreement, you must give notice of cancellation to the supplier, at the address set out in the agreement, by any means that allows you to prove the date on which you gave notice. If no address is set out in the agreement, use any address of the supplier that is on record with the Government of Ontario or the Government of Canada or is known by you.
If you cancel this agreement, the supplier has fifteen (15) days to refund any payment you have made and return to you all goods delivered under a trade-in arrangement (or refund an amount equal to the trade-in allowance).
How to cancel: send notice to the business address or email above by a method that lets you prove when it was sent or delivered. Keep a copy and proof of delivery.
1. Member and Checkout Summary
The completed checkout summary — the plan, services, limits, dates, itemized price, HST, total and payment schedule shown when you sign up, together with the member details you provide — is part of these Terms. The selected plan controls where plan-specific information differs from the general wording below.
1.1 Memberships Covered
- Adult unlimited or limited group boxing memberships; open-gym or bag-access memberships.
- Youth boxing, family and corporate/partner memberships.
- Competitive-team training, where separately approved; competition, licensing, medical, travel and event costs are excluded unless listed at checkout.
- Personal or semi-private training packages, class packs, trials, introductory passes and drop-ins.
- Any other plan fully named and described in the checkout summary.
No membership automatically includes contact drills, sparring or competition. Those activities require coach approval, required protective equipment and any additional consent requested by OneTwoSlipTwo.
2. Price, Payment and Renewal
The itemized price, HST, total, payment schedule and payment method for your membership are shown in your checkout summary and on your receipts.
Equal monthly instalments. Where Ontario law requires it, the member will be offered an equal monthly instalment option. A fixed membership term will not exceed one year after services become available.
Recurring authorization. The account holder authorizes OneTwoSlipTwo and its payment processor to charge the amounts and dates shown at checkout. Cancelling the payment method does not by itself cancel the membership or an amount already properly due.
Failed payments. Any returned-payment fee displayed at checkout must be limited to reasonable processing costs and applicable law. No undisclosed charge is payable without separate authorization.
3. Cancellation, Renewal and Freeze
Cooling-off period. The statutory notice above overrides any inconsistent term.
Recurring plans. A recurring membership renews one billing period at a time until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and proper charges during any notice period remain payable, subject to applicable law.
Fixed terms. A fixed term ends on its expiry date unless renewed in compliance with Ontario law. OneTwoSlipTwo will provide any required renewal notice and copy of the agreement. The member may decline renewal before the renewal date.
After the cooling-off period. The plan-specific cancellation and freeze terms shown at checkout apply, subject always to statutory rights. Recurring memberships include one 30-day freeze in any twelve-month period; billing stops for the freeze and the unused part of the current period is preserved.
4. Access, Booking and Conduct
Membership is personal and non-transferable. Members must comply with posted booking, check-in, hygiene, equipment, guest and safety rules, as reasonably updated. Schedules, instructors and equipment may change; OneTwoSlipTwo will use reasonable efforts to provide substantially equivalent services and comply with legal fee-reduction or cancellation duties.
Harassment, discrimination, threats, theft, unsafe conduct, intentional damage, substance impairment, unauthorized coaching and entry into restricted areas are prohibited. Access may be suspended immediately where reasonably required for safety or an investigation. Membership may be terminated for a serious or repeated breach, with refunds or balances determined under these Terms and applicable law.
5. Health and Boxing Safety
The member confirms they are medically able to participate, will disclose relevant restrictions, stop and seek help if unwell, and obtain medical clearance when advised. Coaches do not provide medical advice. The member authorizes reasonable first aid and emergency assistance and is responsible for personal medical or ambulance costs unless the law provides otherwise.
Separate waiver required. Boxing and fitness involve serious risks. The member must separately review and electronically sign the OneTwoSlipTwo Boxing Waiver and Release before participating. That waiver is not accepted through the membership checkbox.
6. Privacy and Communications
OneTwoSlipTwo may collect and use contact, billing, attendance, emergency, relevant health-restriction and incident information to administer membership, deliver safe services, process payment, meet legal obligations and send operational notices, in accordance with applicable privacy law and its privacy policy.
Electronic records. The member agrees to receive the agreement, waiver, receipts and operational or renewal notices electronically at the supplied email and will keep it current. A copy of the completed agreement will be emailed after enrollment.
Optional marketing and image permissions are requested separately with unchecked controls. Refusal or withdrawal will not affect membership. OneTwoSlipTwo will not treat acceptance of these Terms or the waiver as marketing or photo/video consent.
7. General Terms
Entire agreement. These Terms, the checkout summary and incorporated policies are the entire membership agreement. No verbal promise changes them. Any material change to price, term or services requires the member's agreement or another lawful process.
Priority of law. Nothing waives a non-waivable statutory right. If any term conflicts with applicable law, the law prevails and the remaining terms continue where legally possible.
Governing law. Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian law govern. Disputes may be brought before a court or tribunal with jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
Notices. Notices to OneTwoSlipTwo may be sent to the business address or email above. Notices to the member may be sent to the contact information supplied at checkout, subject to mandatory legal rules.
Assignment. The member may not transfer membership. OneTwoSlipTwo may assign this agreement as part of a lawful sale or transfer of the business if the member's rights are not reduced.
8. Online Acceptance and Electronic Signature
Membership is accepted online by checking the unchecked membership acceptance box, typing your full legal name as your electronic signature and selecting “Complete Membership.” Accepted electronically by 1001688026 Ontario Inc. o/a OneTwoSlipTwo Boxing through its authorized enrollment system.
For a minor, the parent or legal guardian must complete the enrollment, provide their own typed name and electronic signature, accept responsibility for fees, and separately sign the minor waiver/guardian consent. Online sign-up is for adults 18 and over; minors join in person at the gym.
